Season 4: COALINGA! Episode 25: Coalinga does not mean bananas in Spanish

Hey fam! I am officially in Coalinga! AND I LOVE IT.

Reasons I knew I would love Coalinga from the very moment I got there:
1. the town is built on an old mining town so they built the roads where the tracks used to be and so the roads here are completely whack. so I feel excusable in my bad driving skills.
2. the school mascot is a HORNY TOAD. there is horny toad merchandise EVERYWHERE because they are the only high school in the nation with that mascot. DEAD.
3. the mountains. it's all nestled in this little mountain and I love it.
4. All the red brick homes make my heart swoon
5. sometimes we have church at donut shop

Reasons I Love Coalinga now that I have been here for a week!
1. Hermana Ward my companion is the CUTEST human being ever.
2. We started teaching this girl named Nikole and she is the raddest human being I have ever met and she already wants to get baptized. She is such a STUD. I love her with my whole soul and I have known her for three days.
3.  Hermana Ward had given me the chance to work on my Spanish and lead a few Spanish contacts. Y'all! I had a fifteen minute conversation with some one! I spoke fairly clearly and understood so much of what was happening! This was really exciting for me because Spanish has been a challenge for me. It was a good contact and we are visiting again Wednesday! But it was also really sweet because after we finished knocking her street we drove by and she was teaching her daughter out of the pamphlet we gave her. CUTE!

See y'all in a hot second,
Con amor,
Hermana Nygren
